The author added some light and shadows and a young man is a lady now. These two pictures seem to depict a woman and a man at first. But if you look carefully…
you’ll easily recognize that it’s the same face but with different contrast. Richard Russel from Harvard made this change on purpose. At the “woman’s” picture he made the dark zones darker and the light ones lighter. This optical illusion shows that our brain defines people’s gender based on facial contrast.
