The Underwater River
The underwater photo in depth of 28 m. Angelita. Mexico. Something like a well. At the depth of 29-30 m there is a
layer of hydrogen sulfide. And lower to 60 m there’s salty water. The memorable first diving here. We arrived at a dawn and started diving. Very slowly… 5m, 10 m, 15 m… Falling into dark. 20 m, 25 m… And now all this comes out and the first thing I thought was: damn, I’m high! I’m in the water in about 30 m depth and I see a river beneath myself and an island, trees and the fallen leaves. A river with a diver above is a layer of hydrogen sulfide. Oh yeah, to make this surreal picture complete there was an alligator above us.
